Come further up, Come further in!

Following World War II, President Eisenhower provided the impetus and leadership for the development of the U.S. Congress Members’ prayer groups, and also of groups of men, leaders in homes, businesses, and nations around the world. The President was often heard to say, 

 

“God’s method is men! Men are always looking for better methods, but God is always looking for better men.” 

 

At ‘Come Further Up, Come Further In!’ we similarly we want to become better men – better husbands, partners, fathers, sons, brothers, employers, employees, and all-round leaders – by following the teachings and example of Jesus.

 

This is an all-ages fellowship – with guys in their 20’s through to their 80’s enjoying rich fellowship, while learning and praying together for each other, for Charleston, for South Carolina, for our nation, and for all leaders in a world that seems increasingly ill-at-ease and drawn into conflict.

 

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” — Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
